I found a lot of truth in this article, religious influence aside. I admit to reading up on Judaism lately, especially since it is a religious period - and because I'm going to be Israel next year for ten days with my family. Tony will be attending as well, and I'm very excited for our first trip overseas - especially since it will be in such a potent area. Even though I stopped practicing when I was around twelve or so, I still want to be able to fully appreciate what I'll be experiencing. So far, it's been fascinating - and fun to relearn things I used to know, and believe.

Usually, I don't share links like this - but it really aligns with many things that I already believe, and need to practice.

Why the crap would I be watching movies if I was on an island? I'd be enjoying the sea.

I have an account, but never use it, as I have enough to keep up with and distracted by online. Here's what been up with me lately, as I haven't posted here for a while.

• The iPhone is about a cajillion times cooler than I ever imagined it could be. Tony hearts his too, and we have spent nearly every morning this week showing off new applications while in bed. No, Dave, that isn't code for anything. We're just dorks. Also, despite all of the awesome applications, I love Scrabble the most, ATM. No math! Wee!

• I'm still a little sick, and have a lovely cough that has lasted sporadically for weeks. Other than that, I finally have a grasp on this semester, and need to start working on my new Motion Graphics course - which starts before the curriculum is even due for it. No pressure, right? Also, tons of other teachers want to take it, so maybe I'll have to curb my whole hoodie and sneakers combo that I seem to where everyday. Or not.

• Though I'm not looking forward to this evening snow storm, Tony and I are still going to see Clutch tonight. Our love for them is greater than six inches of accumulation.

• Spring break falls on my birthday this year, which is rad and sad, as my dead husband will be away with his band at SxSW. I'm going to stay home and tend the homestead, get tattooed, drunk, and play video games as much as possible. I'll, um, draw or do something productive too. Maybe.

• Despite staying stationary then, I'm going on more trips than usual this year. School paid for visit to a new motion graphics festival in New York in April. I'll have to make it to Portland in the summer to see old friends - as I was too sick to go when previously planned - and I have plans to go to both Bonnaroo and Sasquatch music festivals this year. NIN headlines both, but I really love those multiple day events, and look forward to the splendid people watching they provide. Oh, and the other bands, too.

Other than that, business as usual. My sister is doing far better than ever before, which is a massive burden lifted. I've also, finally, started working out a bit again - which makes me feel infinitely better every time. Lots of housework too, as I want to make the basement into a workshop of sorts until all the little spiders and such hatch.

I hope that all ya'll are doing well. This post turned out far beefier than expected, but oh well. Sorry for taking up precious scroll space!
